Fishing “Ireland is recognised as being the outstanding fishing holiday destination in Europe” Irish Inland Fisheries Lough Abisdealy is a tranquil lake on the estate with a surface of 50 acres and depths of up to 20 metres. Pike and Rudd are in abundance as well as Roach. As a private lake Lough Abisdealy has not been over-exposed with only a limited numbers of anglers allowed to fish. So, even the most inexperienced angler is bound to catch something! We can provide a rowing boat and oars, lifejackets etc. Limited tackle is available. Shore-fishing is from various pitches along the bank. A gillie can of course be organised for those who wish to increase their chances of securing ‘The Big One’. Liss Ard is one of 16 destinations for coarse fishing and angling in West Cork, including Barrylickey near Drinagh, just two miles from Skibbereen.
